Breakfast:
More muesli-type cereal, so yummy! Just reminds us of having oats. Splashed a bit of coconut milk in there as well just to use up the one I had in the fridge from yesterday. Again with fresh blueberries and bananas on top today.
Morning tea:
A piece of casharoo and some lemon balls. Keeping it simple! Also grabbed a plum and apricot to nibble on (they are yummy too but so small!)
Lunch:
Leftover roast vegetable bake from last night plus some bacon that we baked in the oven (my first time). Mmm crispy bacon! A bit fattier than I normally have it though, normally I cook it in my grill.
Afternoon tea:
A boiled egg (post workout snack) and some carrot sticks with zucchini dip.
Dinner:
Chicken & Zucchini orange skewers and vegetables. They were really yummy and easy to make! Will definitely have to try that one again :)
Dessert:
We forgot to do our normal banana ice cream up before the kids went to bed, and we didn't want to wake them with the sound of the thermomix, so I decided to do something different. I chilled a can of coconut cream in the freezer for a while, then mixed it with some cacao and peppermint essence (it was only after eating it that I realised it contained glycerine and it probably isn't a paleo ingredient - doh!). Then it went sort of mousse like, so I put some in a cup, put some blueberries in, then some more mousse, then strawberries, mousse, then cherries, mousse - and sprinkled cacao nibs on top. It was quite nice, would have been nicer had it been put back in the freezer for a bit I think.
Supper:
Cup of tea, casharoo and lemon balls :)
I also realised today that I'm feeling happier, not sure if thats a side effect from trialing this or just a nice coincidence. I'll see how I feel tomorrow! (to demonstrate how "happy" I have been, Speedy got into the red paint today, and put paint on the carpet and through a lot of the house, and all over herself - and we didn't smack or anything - just got into the job of getting it out of it as best we could. I have more energy and motivation for cleaning the house too, and anyone who has been to my house knows that can only be a good thing.)

I don't think it's a coincidence. I never realised how much food effected my mood before.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a coincidence! Happens here too!
